Tutor Vista

They call you every 3 days when it is time to update your payment. But when you have an issue, they never call you back. You can email them, call them and leave a message, but they will not respond. They charged me for 3 months even though I had enough hours left on my account. Have been unable to schedule any classes for the past 3 weeks. Website says it is down, phone numbers have been disconnected, no one calls to say they are cancelling classes or discontinuing services. While past experiences have not been stellar, at least we were able to get the service. Overall terrible service and they have stolen my money. Calling BBB to report them.

Dear TutorVista Manager, I am your valued customer. I have been contacted many time by your sales representatives Mr. Surya and Mr. Arvin. They were behind and requesting to take services tutor vista. I have been promised by my Mr. Arvin that if I am not satisfy by the service then he will refund full money back with all other promises. Finally, I registered and paid USD.189.99 for 30 Hours on 21-Jun-2018. We hardly taken 7 or 8 classes with full of disturbance. One day I received a call from tutor vista saying they are going to discontinue services and will refund my money in 3 to 4 days of time. I have to pay to get tutored, which isn't all bad. though they expected me to get my Parent, whom have passed on to come and help me, and the tutor didn't help in any sort of way, due to their highly high costs. Its a worst experience they made a mess paid for the classes but did not get the service we used to get calls every hour for registration and payment once done thru dont care very disappointed

Took a college biochemistry class and needed help on an assignment specifically told them about my assignment and they assured me they knew the material and could help. I just needed them to see what I was doing and confirm I was doing it right and my answers I came up with were right. They walked through it with me and confirmed my answers were correct and the ones not they step by stepped helped me through it. I got a zero on assignment! Nothing they did was accurate or right.....they knew nothing. It was a huge set back. Don't use them, you will be sorry. Angering they are not educated at all.

I was about to subscribe when he or she keeps pushing me into getting into it, I have been really careful since last time I got into Tutoring company that don't care about you..... The tutor giving complicated way. I don't have much impression about it, it's just one to appreciate I found this platform to share what this company has done. I believe there are many tutoring services that are a scam, only a few is legit.. you just gotta find it. However, me, I found offline(real world) tutoring is the best. Recommendation: Stick with face to face (real world) tutoring for sure. Good luck and peace. AAA

I was extremely frustrated after subscribing to the service, then for some reason was blocked. I loaded up my VPN and used "profane" words like ***. They threatened to call 911 and sue me for misuse of an educational website and their non-existent ToS. Don't EVER do anything on this website. Their inital lobby is covered in robots with the same name (24/7 support isn't from noone) Even the free trial is a robot named Adrian. The kids are tricked into getting their parents, as they talk about their "P.h.D Holding Tutors" who will help your child. During my free subscription service, I gave them a simple problem, and it took them 10 minutes to reply. Well, it took the robot 10 minutes to reply. Then, the unclear directions... P.S. intro is covered in lies, especially 'secure platform' (unverified SSL from India...)

most of the tutors are absolutely horrible... it is rare that my daughter finds a good one and when she finally does, they freeze up or get knocked offline... the best part? the scheduling system to try to get the rare "good one" back, doesn't work! Expect to get less than half of what you pay for. customer service is horrible too. they push you and tell you you have 5 minutes to use their promotions. they also say they will credit wasted time but they do not. and don't give them your phone number because they will call and harass you.

I loved tutor vista the tutors care about you as a student i would recommend to any of my friends especiallly for math. I had issues with stats and algebra and i got so much better at math. I love how they are flexible on helping you and there always someone there . The people who had issues either they are lazy or just want to criticize a good company. Once i continue my studies they will be my first option tutors in person are too expensive its dumb. I purchased the 12 hour college package because I needed help with Calculus 2. Unfortunately, I found out that there tutors are lazy and slow. Most of them are not even familiar with the topics assigned by my Calculus professor. I have to go around asking for the same problem because most of the tutors couldn't help me. I estimate that it takes them around 3 hours to solve 1 problem. I argue that this service is a scam because the tutors make you wait for 20-30 minutes to tell you that there is a problem with their computers or they cannot solve the problems. Stay away from this service, you are wasting your money here

This company is so screwed up. It is unbelievable that they don't even understand the basics of Customer Service. I signed up specifically asking for a Voice tutoring session. They promised me that. Since then every time there is a session, I get a non-voice, meaning chat only session. I complain and they say they will fix it next time. It happened again and again. Then when I said I want to cancel and want my refund back, they said I should try one last time and this time they will get me a voice sessions. Same problem again. The session I got again was a non voice session. This place is so horrendous and the people running it have no clue on what is happening. I submitted multiple feedback on their websites, never got a response.

My assigned tutor was wonderful. Her whiteboard was writing and so I was actually thrilled. Really. She otherwise showed me how to do the question very well, and now I understand the problem better than my useless physics teacher who likes to do the flipped classroom *** that lazy teachers like to do. Unfortunately, the price is a bit crazy, and note that I am a kid in 11th grade who works part time at a grocery store to pay off car insurance and food for myself, and the package I'm looking to use is $139.99 for 3 months with around $4 an hour for tutoring, so if I take the deal, I will be even shorter on money for my college fund, and I hear that the employees don't exactly get paid well.

Terrible operation. I signed up and tried to use them - they were either not available during the times I needed or booked up and not available. So I forgot about them until I thought I better use up the hours for Analytical Chemistry before the semester ends. My hours were gone - 5 of them! I called and she said they are only good for 4 weeks and expired! Asked me to buy 2 more hours and they would give me back my 5 + 2 purchased hours! Ok I did. When I finally got a session after several tries, the guy seemed angry and gave me the wrong balanced equations - he separated them out individually. Not only that when I first posted the problem, he never got back to me, finally I asked are you there? He said yes is the Cu in the beaker? I asked are you kidding me? where he finally started to interact and work the problem. I know he was being sarcastic. And he gave me an incorrect answer. Tonight I scheduled another appointment and although this tutor seemed nicer - he took one hour to work one problem - and it too is incorrect according to Mastering Chemistry! No - this is not a good situation at all.

I had a very bad experience with them. They asked me that I CANNOT SPEAK with the TUTOR. Can communicate by TYPING ONLY. This way you never know what is the qualification of your tutor. To who you are chatting? For one simple question to solve, they took about half an hour in their so called demonstration session. It is simply NON-SENSE who just want you to sign up and pay to them for chatting (IN US DOLLARS). Bad way of communications. It looks like they just want to waste more time in chatting and less to the original problem. Stay away from them........VERY STRONGLY NOT RECOMMENDED.
